In order to save money on flights to Buenos Aires you should compare the price of the direct flights with the connecting ones. It takes more planning and you’ll spend more time traveling but, overall, it will reduce the cost of the flight.
Ideally, plan your vacation in fall (March to May) or spring (September to November). Summer (December to March) is the high season at the beach resorts but the capital becomes almost deserted of locals. Still, plane tickets are more expensive during the high season, so try to avoid that period. Also, fly in mid-week when the rates are lower.
