October is the last month of the rainy season so although showers are expected, they are quickly followed by sun. In Cancun the weather is great for swimming and soaking up the sun year-round, so October is not an exception. You can visiting one the Mayan ruins near-by or take a relaxing day-trip to Isla Mujeres.

Events & Things to Do
No matter when you visit Cancun, the main activities here are related to the beach. Soak up the sun, go swimming, play water sports or just enjoy a lazy day watching other travelers do the same.
In mid-October, you can take part in the festivities related to Dia de la Raza. There are bullfights , music, dancing and a general party atmosphere on the streets.

You can also plan a day trip to Chichen Itza . Try to arrive early to avoid the crowds. Wear appropriate clothing and don’t forget your camera.
You can also take the ferry to Isla Mujeres and check out the turtle farm, the beaches or go snorkeling in Garafon Park.
