Tijuana

Mexico's most visited border city, Tijuana is within eye sight of San Diego and the U.S. border, and while in recent times has been known more for its violent drug trade than cultural sites, is home to a variety of interesting museums, galleries and bullfighting spots.

While not a stunning city, Tijuana is also just a hop and a skip away from places like Ensenda (birthplace of the fish taco), where you can enjoy the great seafood market and hit the beach.
