After a decade or so of trying to promote itself as a "family destination," Las Vegas is back as an "adult Disneyland." That's not to say that there isn't plenty to do for families and children, but in a city that is based on gambling and nighttime entertainment, it's better not to beat around the bush.

The hotels and casinos keep getting larger and more fabulous, and even if you don't plan on gambling it's worth checking a few of them out, but there is also world-class golf and other recreation, as well as great side-trips to nearby Red Rock Canyon or the Boulder Dam.
