It's not as popular as Oahu, but Maui has more than its fair share of fans. Of course there are wonderful beaches in different pockets along the coast, but Maui is also known for its amazing natural beauty in the interior. The huge Haleakala National Park is a major draw and is open and easy to reach all the time.

Visitors looking for the best beaches should head for the west coast of the island, as it has several charming small towns and a good tourist infrastructure. Those looking for more posh resorts and golf courses should head toward Wailea on the South Coast.
