When most people hear the word Miami, they usually immediately think of the trendy South Beach neighborhood and the art deco hotels, even though that's all located in the separate city of Miami Beach, which is several miles across the causeway from the real Miami.

The good news is it's very easy to visit both the beaches and the fascinating city center and culture on the same trip. The famous Little Havana neighborhood isn't as flashy as you might expect, but it's definitely worth a visit. The area is also loaded with golf courses and excellent nightlife, so the options are almost limitless for those with enough energy.
