Adrenaline rush in England

There are many reasons to travel; most of us do it for the sightseeing and to discover a new culture. Some of us are also looking for the adrenaline rush. I admit I love amusement parks but I have set foot – yet – in a roller coaster.

England is famous for many things but not many travelers know that the country is home to some of the best roller coasters in Europe ; Oblivion in Staffordshire ranks as Europe’s best amusement ride and definitely worth a trip to England. It was the world’s first vertical drop roller coaster (in 1998) and is the third fastest roller coaster in the world. The 1 minute 15 seconds ride offers forces of up to 4.5G.

Nemesis, also located in England, is Europe’s first inverted roller coaster. With a maximum speed of 50 mph (80 kmph), the roller coaster ranks high among those looking for an adrenaline rush. The story of the roller coaster is based on the legend of Nemesis, a steel creature discovered underneath the ground at Alton Towers.

So, why won’t you book one of the hotels near Alton Towers ? You’ll be near the attractions and ready to explore the country, as well. Just don’t forget to book a cheap flight to England as well; after all, first you need to get there in order to enjoy the thrill.
