The weather in Florida is a deciding factor on many peoples plans to visit Florida. Many people form the Northern states flock here during the winter months to escape cold weather, while families vacation here during the summer months to take advantage of summer break and perfect weather.
Summer months are hot, with northern Florida being hotter than southern Florida. As well as the inland being warmer than the coastal cities. The summer heat along the coasts and southern Florida is usually tamed by the regular afternoon and/or evening showers.
The Atlantic hurricane season runs from June 1 to November 30. If you are vacationing during these times, keep a close eye on the weather so you can get out ahead of the rush if need be.
