Getting around Honduras

As with most Central American countries, buses are the easiest and cheapest way to get around. To give you an example of prices, a five hour bus ride will probably only cost you about US$7. these buses run daily and can pretty much take you to any major tourist destination.

In the more densely forested areas around the Mosquito Coast you wont find any buses. In these areas the easiest way to get around is by boat. You will find a number of ferries, canoes, and other water based transportation.

Rental cars can be found in the major cities around the airports.
