While lacking some of the charms you will find in privately run guesthouses, Bewleys Hotel Newlands Cross more than makes up for that with its pocketbook appeal. Bewleys has a flat rate it charges for its rooms, so it is an easy trip to budget for. At the moment, that rate is €89 for every room, every night.
All 299 rooms in the Bewleys at Newlands Cross are nearly the same, most containing a double bed, a single bed and a couch (and an en suite bathroom), and as long as you are not trying to get more than three adults into one of those rooms (or two adults and three children in the family rooms), the €89 rate applies. And while you will not use the word “charming” to describe the hotel, you will no doubt find it perfectly pleasant for your stay.
Bewleys Hotel at Newlands Cross features an on-site restaurant serving traditional Irish breakfasts each morning starting at 07:00. (There are other breakfast options, too!) You can also dine in the hotel restaurant for lunch and dinner. While breakfast is available in the hotel, it is an extra fee above the flat room rate.
The Newlands Cross area is not in central Dublin – it is roughly (depending on the reviews you read) a 15-25 minute trip into the city center. If you are driving your own car, there is parking available at the hotel. And if you are relying on public transportation, the 51 and 68 buses as well as the LUAS tram run very close to the Bewleys at Newlands Cross.
If you like the Bewleys flat rate concept and want an alternative a little closer to the city center, there is also a Bewleys Hotel in the Ballsbridge neighborhood which has a €119 flat rate.
