Search Porto hostels with up-to-date availability and book a hostel in Porto.
Porto, the second largest city in Portugal, is small and picturesque. It’s a hilly city with a long history and an atmosphere totally different than in Lisbon. The city has excellent public transport, so traveling from the hostel to the sights shouldn’t be a problem at all.
However, since it’s small and not very touristy, there aren’t many hostels in the city. There’s only one campsite. So make sure to book your bed in advance, especially if you travel during the high season.
Keep in mind that hostels aren’t just for youngsters and backpackers. And you don’t have to stay in a dorm either. Most hostels offer private rooms and although you’ll pay more, you’ll have the privacy. You can easily find a bed in a private room for just €15.50 per night.
Do remember that guesthouses also fall in the budget accommodation category and they are a great choice, especially if you are looking for a private room.
