In trouble? Run into travel complications? Lost your passport? No matter what the issue is, it’s always good to know the location of and have the contact information for your home country’s embassy, and it’s the first place you should go if you find yourself in any kind of trouble. This includes any kind of political turmoil or issues with the law.
Your home embassy can provide extra pages for your passport (US travelers have this problem the most, as we have fewer pages than many countries), while foreign embassies can help with visas and entry permits.
Most embassies in Bangkok are locate in the same neighborhood, close to mass transit stations.
Important embassies include:
- Australian Embassy
- Canadian Embassy
- New Zealand Embassy
- British Embassy
- The Embassy of the United States of America
